JRL Public Jalsa : Authorities Impose Restrictions In Srinagar & Anantnag | KNO

Srinagar administration has decided to impose restrictions in six police station areas tomorrow, the 15th of December 2017. The areas where restrictions will be imposed include Rainawari, Nowhatta, Khanyar, MR Gunj, Safakadal, Maisuma and Kralkhud partially. An official in the administration told KNS that the restrictions will be imposed as a precautionary measure.  Earlier, the JRL had called for ‘Public Jalsa’ tomorrow at Anantnag. The JRL comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had also asked the Government of India to allow the resistance leadership to hold public Jalsa to prove it's democracy claims In view of the 'public jalsa' call given by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on DEC 15, the Anantnag police on Thursday decided to impose restrictions in the district as precauctionary measure. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag, Altaf khan said that in view of the JRL's call, the restrictions will be imposed across the district to thwart any possible protest. He informed that the restrictions will be imposed as precautionary measure. Earlier ,the JRL had called for 'Public jalsa' tomorrow at Anantnag. The JRL comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had also asked the govt of India to allow the resistance leadership to hold public jalsa to prove it's democracy claims.
